PUBG has gained immense popularity over the past two years in India. But, it was PUBG mobile which was much more popular than PUBG PC. Also, the PUBG mobile was preferred over PUBG PC to be played on a computer using an emulator. So, Tencent developed their own emulator to ensure hassle free gameplay on PC. But, running a game on a Virtual Machine was not that efficient. It required more system resources. This is why some devices were not able to run the game smoothly.
Now, to solve this problem, Tencent has released its new version of PUBG PC called PUBG Lite for low end computers. PUBG Lite was released few months before on other countries. But, it is now coming to India as confirmed by the PUBG India official Facebook page on June 6, 2019. The expected launch date of the game in India is around June 25, 2019. PUBG Lite Kolkata event: How to be a part?
PUBG India Facebook page has announced its first official launch event in India. According to the official page the event will be named as “PUBG x Gamer Connect Kolkata”. To be a part of the event, players need to visit Gamer Connect Kolkata and locate the PUBG Lite booth. After reaching the booth, they need to take a picture and post it on Facebook with the hashtag. As a part of the event selected players will get gift codes with exclusive content with the help of email on June 13.
